All classrooms are multi-age. The Children's House classrooms have four and five year old children. The Elementary One (E1) classrooms have children aged 6-9, and the Elementary Two classrooms (E2) have children aged 9-12. Many beautiful wooden 'hands on' specially designed materials are used by the children to develop their understanding of concepts through 'hands on' lessons. Lesson areas are in small groups and individual tables, the classroom appears as a workshop with students and teachers moving as needs arise. Independence is encouraged, so classroom tools and materials are available for use, the child can continue on without help until the next lesson. Class meetings occur daily but work is done independently.
