| Linda Anastos | | My background in education began as a Spanish teacher for junior and senior high students. I first became interested in Montessori as a high school student. When the market for foreign language teachers dried up, I took Preprimary American Montessori training in Chicago, Illinois. After many years as a Children’s House teacher, I worked for the Montessori teaching program at the College of St. Catherine. As interest in Montessori expanded to the public schools in the late 1980’s, I decided to begin training for the 6-9 year old child. I began working for J.J. Hill in 1990. It is a joy and a challenge to work with early elementary children as they begin to read, write, and learn about the worlds of math, science, geography, and history. Working for three years in our multi-aged classroom gives me the opportunity to form a partnership in education with the children and their families. It is a privilege to be a part of our Elementary I team!
