Ms. Lizzy Diemer

Ms. Diemer (Dee-mer) is thrilled to be returning to J.J. Hill for a 3rd year!

Principal Diemer has been with SPPS since 2011. Most recently, she has been the assistant principal at Dayton’s Bluff Achievement Plus Elementary for more than three years. She has also served at John A. Johnson Achievement Plus Elementary, the SPPS Department of Alternative Education, and Farnsworth Lower Campus. Principal Diemer is looking forward to partnering with the students, families, staff and the entire school community to continue the great work at J.J. Hill.

As an educator, she values building strong, meaningful relationships with students and staff and engaging in open and honest conversations. She has greatly enjoyed getting to know the J.J. Hill community so far, and values the robust relationships we have with our families.

Ms. Diemer is originally from Madison, Wisconsin, before moving to Minnesota to attend college. At the University of Minnesota, she studied Elementary Education and was a proud member of the Marching Band. Ms. Diemer graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in elementary education. Ms. Diemer also completed her coursework in educational leadership to obtain her principal license at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

When Ms. Diemer is not working, she enjoys reading a good book with a cup of coffee, walking her dog Barry, traveling to Florida or Madison to visit her family and attending Gopher sports events (especially basketball games)! Go Gophers!

She is looking forward to a successful and fun year together!
