Kelly Chapman

Hello! I am the STEM teacher at JJ Hill, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. My goal for my classroom is to have all students thinking, talking, and acting like scientists and engineers. We learn to work together in teams, have discussions, make models, and other hands-on skills that students need to be successful in STEM fields. I am a graduate of the St. Paul Urban Teacher Residency (SUTR) program and started at JJ Hill in 2020. Before teaching I was a research and development engineer in the medical device industry.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy backpacking, biking, and reading YA fiction all in one sitting. I look forward to meeting you and your student!
