Three SPPS Teachers are Semifinalists for Minnesota Teacher of the Year
Three Saint Paul Public School teachers have been named semifinalists for Minnesota Teacher of the Year.
J.J. Hill Montessori’s John Horton, Hamline Elementary’s Amanda Jagdeo, and Washington Technology Magnet School’s Kong Vang are three of the state’s 31 semifinalists.
The award is presented by Education Minnesota. There were 142 candidates announced earlier this winter. A panel of community leaders will review the semifinalists before selecting 10 finalists in March. The Minnesota Teacher of the Year is announced May 4 at Saint Paul RiverCentre.
